Terms of Use
Last updated:
1. Agreement
By using Video Compressor you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use it. Our Privacy Policy explains what we do with your data.
2. The service
Video Compressor is free and provided as it is. We may change, limit or stop it at any time.
On our server, a video can be up to 1 GB, 60 minutes and 4K, and you can process 5 videos a day (20 per network), counting every tool together. Working in your browser has no daily limit.
Transcripts from video to text are made automatically by a speech recognition model and may contain mistakes. Check them before you rely on them.
3. Your content
You must have the right to the videos you compress. They stay yours: you only give us the temporary permission we need to compress them and let you download the result.
4. Acceptable use
You must not:
- upload or link to anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material and content that infringes someone else’s rights;
- use a link to make our server fetch anything but a video you want to compress, or to reach addresses that aren’t public;
- get around the limits or the human verification, for example with scripts, by clearing cookies over and over or by rotating proxies;
- attack, overload or probe the service.
We may delete jobs and block access when these terms are broken, and report illegal content to the authorities where the law requires it.
5. Copyright complaints
We don’t host videos publicly. Only the person who uploaded a video can ask for its download link, the link works for anyone who has it for 1 hour, and results are deleted after 2 hours. Whoever shares a link is responsible for sharing it.
If you still believe something here infringes your rights, write to feedback@videocompressor.xyz with the details.
6. No warranty
We don’t promise any particular size, quality or compatibility of the result, or that the service is always available. Always keep your original video.
7. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for lost data, arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn’t allow us to limit.
8. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and using the service after a change means you accept it. You can stop using the service at any time.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the place where the operator of Video Compressor is established. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country you live in.
