Sending video on Messenger
Facebook Messenger turns away any video over 25 MB, on phones and on the web alike. A minute of phone video is often 100 MB or more, so a video that won’t send is almost always simply too big.

What is Messenger’s video size limit?
25 MB per file, according to Meta’s help center. Limits like this change from time to time; the date at the bottom of this page is when we last checked.
Why won’t my video send on Messenger?
Usually because it’s over 25 MB: Messenger stops the upload or shows an error. Compress it here and send the MP4 instead. If even a small file fails, check your connection and try again.
How long a video fits in 24 MB?
At 720p, about two minutes. Longer videos are compressed at a lower resolution, down to 360p for about seven minutes. For anything longer, trim it first or share a link to it.
Will my video look worse on Messenger?
A little, and less the shorter it is. When 24 MB isn’t enough for the full resolution, we lower the resolution instead of letting the picture turn blocky. Compare it with the original before you download.
